Troop Fundraisers

The Troop Committee is looking for new ideas for fundraisers. Any ideas are welcome.

Some of the funds from the next fundraisers will go toward sending the Venture Scouts to the Boundary Waters this summer.

RANK ADVANCEMENT CHANGES

BSA National has made changes and additions to the requirements for Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. These changes are:

Tenderfoot #9b (change): Explain the importance of the buddy system as it relates to your personal safety on outings and in your neighborhood. Describe what a bully is and how you should respond to one.

Tenderfoot #12a (change): Demonstrate how to care for someone who is choking.

Second Class #8b (NEW): Explain the three R's of personal safety and protection.

First Class #12 (NEW): Describe the three things you should avoid doing related to the use of the Internet. Describe a cyberbully and how you should respond to one.

If your Scout already has some requirements signed off or has completed Tenderfoot, Second Class, or First Class, he does not have to complete these new requirements.
